SRI BUDDHADEV SARKAR (Chief Consultant )
B Sarkar is a Civil Engineering graduate from NIT/Durgapur in 1982 with MBA in Project Management and seasoned professional having more than 39 years of extensive experience in different stages of engineering like Conceptualization, Planning, Cost Estimation, Bidding documentation, Selection of contractors and vendors, Contract management, Quality monitoring / assurance / control, etc in the Projects of Highway Construction, Railways, Bridges, Station Building, Yard Remodelling etc, in India and abroad.
Sarkar has retired from IRCON INTERNATIONAL LTD., (A Central Public Sector Undertaking Organisation under Ministry of Railways), in the position of Chief General Manager and Head of Eastern Region, Kolkata. While in IRCON, he has spearheaded, as Project Head, as many as 11 large valued infrastructure projects of Highways, Railways etc. funded by ADB, NHAI, Railways and MEA in India and Abroad over a period of 33 years out of which, 17 years in Highway projects in Bangladesh (Roads & Highway Div.), UP (under UP PWD), Gujarat (on BOT basis), Nepal (Dept. of Roads & Highways), West Bengal (under NHAI) and 16 years in Railway sector in Kolkata (SE Rly), Nepal (Under NF Rly & MEA) and Bangladesh (Ministry of Bangladesh Railway). Over the period of Project Execution, Mr. Sarkar has gained Sound knowledge in different stages of engineering like Conceptualization, Planning, Cost Estimation, Bidding documentation, Selection of contractors and vendors, Contract management, Quality monitoring / assurance / control, etc and Merit in effective communication with exceptional analytical, technical, negotiation and relationship management skills.
Types of projects handled by Sh. Sarkar are Station Development of Santragachi and Shalimar of SE Rly involving construction of multi storied Station buildings with composite structure over Rly tracks, 12m wide FOB, Elevated structures & Sub-ways for Passenger dispersal, Yard Remodelling, ROB etc. costing Rs. 1500 crs. and Eastern Rly’s Sports Complex with Indoor Stadium having sitting capacity of 1500 nos. and Cricket Gallery having sitting capacity of 800 nos.in Kolkata costing Rs. 75 crs.; 90 Km long New BG Rail line from Khulna to Mongla Port in Bangladesh costing USD 14.8 cr.; New BG Rail Line linking India and Nepal from Jogbani to Biratnagar for 20 Km and from Jaynagar in Bihar to Bijalpura in Nepal for 65Km; Widening & strengthening from 2 lane to 4 lane of existing 19km long Road on National Highway no. NH -31 & 10 km long 4 lane new Bypass in Siliguri to Islampur Section in West Bengal; Strengthening of 140 Km long East – West Highway in Nepal (ADB funded); Construction of Elevated structures (2.5km) for Railway link from Dumdum Airport to Dumdum Cant. Station for Metro Rly, Kolkata and 4 MGD capacity Underground water reservoir and Booster Pumping Station at Kalighat in Kolkata; Construction of 40 km long 4 lane Toll Road with Service Roads on both sides on BOT basis from Vadodara to Halol in Gujarat etc. During this period, he has discharged responsibilities of Project Planning, Policy implementation, Scheduling priorities, Budgetary control & Financial Administration with strategized cost-saving measures, Team Leadership and Monitoring Progress, Quality Management, Material Management and optimum utilization of available resources, Dealing with Contract Matters, dealing Claims and Settlement of disputes in Arbitration/Conciliation (India and Abroad).
SRI SANTANU CHAKRABORTY (Senior Consultant )
Mr. Santanu Chakraborty is a Civil Engineering graduate from Jadavpur University/Kolkata in 1983 with MBA in Project Management and have retired on 31/01/2022 from IRCON INTERNATIONAL LTD., (A Central Public Sector Undertaking Organisation under Ministry of Railways), in the position of Additional General Manager.
During the tenure of his 39 years of service, he has gathered extensive experience in various types of big Civil Construction Projects, especially water treatment plants including clariflocculators, filter houses for both pre & post water treatment plant, Railway and Road bridges, River terminal jetties, Underground Metro rail stations, Railway tunnels, other various civil construction projects of RCC bridge, composite steel & RCC bridge, PSC girders supported on deep and large dia piles & well foundations, steel pontoons, steel bridge, RCC birthing jetty, underground RCC Metro stations by cut & cover, Railway Tunnels by NATM, railway embankment and formation work with RCC box culverts.
Mr. Chakraborty has the experience in large Civil construction works for its successful completion through deployment of heavy and modern construction equipment, machinery, planning with all resources by software tools like MS Projects, Primavera, TILOX, monitoring with quality control and H_SE control conforming to Indian and foreign standards and specifications.
He has vast experience in Project management including planning and monitoring, quality control, Health Safety and Environmental control, Liasoning with clients and allied agencies associated with projects and obtaining approval and clearance from statutory bodies for smooth and successful completion, commissioning of projects.
Mr. Santanu Chakraborty started his professional career as civil construction engineer with THERMAX Pvt.Ltd. (1983-88) executed water treatment plants for mega thermal power stations of Maharashtra State Electricity boards at Chandrapur, Parli Vaijnath, Bhusowal, Khaperkheda TPS.
Subsequently joining Consulting Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. in 1989 (1989-93) as the Senior Construction Engineer, Mr. Santanu Chakraborty executed River terminal jetty at Pandu Port (Guahati) in Brahmaputra river, and terminal jetty at Karimgunj in Barak river for Central Inland Water Transport Corporation.
Joining as Project Manager in CCAP Pvt. Ltd in 1994, (1994-98), Mr. Santanu Chakraborty executed double line Railway Bridge 2x22x35M span PSC girders over Ganga river at Balawali (UP) down stream of Hardware.
Mr. Chakraborty joined IRCON International Ltd. in 1998 and has worked at various positions upto Additional General Manager (1999-2022) and executed Road bridges at Cuddalore (TN) for state PWD, underground Metro Station Buildings at Chandnichawk, Chowaribazar for DMRC, MC1B section. In IRCON, as In-charge and key person, Mr. Chakraborty executed the longest Railway tunnel T80 at Banihal in USBRL project for Jammu-Kashmir Railway. The tunnel T80l of large dia was constructed by New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) to accommodate rail track and concrete road both.
While in IRCON, Mr.Santanu Chakraborty took key responsibility for formation and high embankment work with RCC box culverts for Khulna-Mangla Railway project in Bangladesh and for Railway Yard for NMDC at Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh.
SAMIRAN GHOSH (Senior Consultant)
Mr Samiran Ghosh, a Electrical Engineering professional and having more than 37 years of experience in Railway signalling and telecommunications project across India, Malaysia, & Bangladesh, has gained skill to smoothly lead projects as Project Manager through design, construction, testing and commissioning phases of signalling and delivered results on time. He worked in different capacities starting from Site Engineer to Joint General Manager (S&T) in IRCON INTERNATIONAL LTD., (A Central Public Sector Undertaking Organisation under Ministry of Railways).
He is Affiliate Member of IRSET and associate member of IRSE London. He is also well trained in Signalling engineering training Phase – I & II from IRISET, SECUNDERABAD (India) and also has undergone few advance railway signalling training at IRISET, Secendrabad, and US&S Bangalore.
He has established performance benchmark in commissioning prestigious construction Project of Seremban–Gemas Electrified Double Track Project, Malaysia, including design, installation, testing, commissioning of new CBI, ATP and CTC system at 6 stations on 100km double track in Malaysia, new CBI signalling system in Jamuna Bridge Railway Link Project under Bangladesh Railway , 12 station Solid State Interlocking signalling at Sylhet section and Two station signalling system at 2’nd Bhairab Railway Bridge Project in Bangladesh, six Project in India involving contract management, coordination with consultant and client as Project Head. He is solution oriented professional with excellent skills of collaborating with project team, interfacing with client and deploying advance technology to build successful solutions for Clients. He worked as Project head in Ishurdi to Darsana (11 Station) S&T Project in Bangladesh.
His key competences are in planning and monitoring construction of Railway Signaling Project in advance signalling i.e. Electronic interlocking, MSDAC, ATP System. He is deft in liaising with contracting principle to ensure compliance with contract specification and resolution of problems and issues.

MACRON Technology Pvt Ltd to get support of Design and Geo-technical investigation through their associated Professional Engineers who have more than 40 years of experience in Design and Geotechnical Investigation in various Civil Engineering Projects such as Metro Railway, Highway Bridges, Flyover, Multi-storied Office and Residential buildings, Commercial Complexes, Underground & Elevated Water Reservoir, Industrial & Building Structures etc, in India and abroad.
For Construction Supervision:-
The Consultansia Group of Engineers (CGE) has Tie-ups with various Field engineers at Senior levels having vast experience, ranging from 25 years to 40 years, in independently handling and execution of large valued infrastructure projects for Highways, Railways, Bridges, Buildings etc. are associated with us who though are not directly employed in our role, but are available for rendering service as & when the same is warranted.
